A cable-knit sweater in spun cotton, with a stand collar, a half zip and ribbed trims at the cuffs and hem. Soft at the neck, and easy to wear indoors once you arrive. Zip it to the chin on the cold walk to the restaurant, open it at the table, and it looks right on its own or over a collared shirt.
